Introduction to Stress Management Class:

Did you know that stress can contribute to almost any medical problem, including heart disease, obesity and headaches? In this entertaining and information packed class, Jay Winner, M.D., will teach you to be less susceptible to the negative physical and emotional effects of stress. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Class:

In this program you will learn to effectively cope with stress, pain and/or illness. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an in-depth 8-week program to help you incorporate mindfulness into your lifestyle. It follows the well-researched curriculum developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D. at the University of Massachusetts. The approach combines breath work, meditation, yoga and other mind-body techniques to help you achieve serenity, health and well-being in your everyday life. This series is appropriate for both a lay audience and health professionals. Psychologists, counselors (MFTs and social workers), and nurses will receive 26 ceu credits for this course.
